Jacob Kounin Theory

Jacob Kounin theory was that the teacher should have the ability to manage the students behavior through different strategies and techniques. The Teacher by designing an effective lesson plan, will be providing classroom management, and the key is not in dealing with misbehavior rather than preventing them before they occur.
There are many ways to design an effective lesson where the teacher should be attentive and make sure that all the students are involved all the time in the lesson and the activities.
The main key ideas in the Kounin Model are:
1. The ripple Effect
2. With-it-ness
3. Overlapping
4. Effective transitions
5. Group Focus
5. Satiation
The most I like is the with-It-ness concept which is a term made by kounin to describe how the teacher is attentive. To him, the Teacher should be able to know what is going on in all areas of the classroom as if he/she is with all the students. Being that much attentive , as a teacher, and communicating that to the students through words and behaviors will result in making the students convinced that the teacher knows everything in the classroom. In this way,the students will prefer and choose the right behaviors from the beginning and they will correct their misbehavior by themselves.

  1. Successful teacher can prevent misbehavior in classroom by preparing well a lesson to grab student's attention and engage a big number of them, also she can deal perfectly with every student case to achieve the goals of education.

Boom's Taxonomy

The Best Education when the students are challenged. Blooms Taxonomy helps educators develop critical thinking and higher order cognitive abilities in students( Blooms 2008). In order to provide a framework of the objective, the teacher can build their lesson through blooms Taxonomy. And the most important point that we shed light on, is that the first levels of thinking must be mastered before the next one , from the simple one to the complex level to  guide students to higher level of thinking. The Link Between the First two levels of thinking.  The first the level of thinking that can be adopted by teachers in classroom is knowing(knowledge). This level of thinking activates students background in order to build on the previous ones , in other words, recall  basic concepts related to the subject of interest. Age(2009) stated that you would need the prerequisites of knowledge how to walk before you would learn to run , which means learning information without the proper p
